One of the other key design changes that we have agreed with the construction company is the installation of ecological walls at the south perimeter of the plot. This system is used to retain the earth at quite steep angles, whilst also providing a structure for plants to be grown – again helping the villa to sit more harmoniously into the landscape.
The other added benefit is that this will allow for a flat plot / garden at the end of the build, rather than a series of steep terraces – improving the useability of the garden and possibilities for landscaping.
