The lower level of reinforcing steel sheets have been laid, along with the drainage collector blocks.
The blinding layer of concrete has been poured and reinforced steel starting to be placed for the basement slab. You can really start to get the sense of scale now this has been marked out.

The ecological walls have been finished and the excavations are also now complete. This clearly shows what the final garden levels will look like in the future. Not long now until the work on the basement slab commences and all the earthworks complete.
This week the crane base has been installed in the pit. The base will be concreted in place, acting as the counterbalance, with the tower attached to the posts. The base will remain in place and buried, once the crane has been removed at the end of the build. More…
