Week 24
The ecological walls have been finished and the excavations are also now complete. This clearly shows what the final garden levels will look like in the future. Not long now until the work on the basement slab commences and all the earthworks complete.

This week the crane base has been installed in the pit. The base will be concreted in place, acting as the counterbalance, with the tower attached to the posts. The base will remain in place and buried, once the crane has been removed at the end of the build. More…

A break in the weather again has allowed for a couple more layers of ecological wall cells to be installed. Progress is slower, not only with the weather, but also the fact that the horizontal area of installation of cells in now much greater, nearly at the longest span. Excavation…

More bad weather has slowed work again and the problem of working on the side of a hill can be seen in the photos below, where you can see the soil has slipped in the rain. Not much progress on the ecological walls.
